It’s Been Months!

Hi everybody! So yes, it’s been months since I’ve written an entry. Think my last one was about the anticipation of school starting back up. Truth be told, senior year really got the best of me. School work and college applications came first, so this fell to the back burner. But I’m finishing up with Thanksgiving break and all my school work is done, so I might as well give you guys an update on how the past 3-ish months have been going.

School’s been going alright. Like I said, a lot of work. But I’m getting a hold of it. We can’t have sports yet, so I finished up field hockey intramural sports back in October. We can’t have theater either, so our school’s been producing and filming a four episode TV show (safely, of course). I haven’t been able to work on it much, since we haven’t been able to go to school recently, but filming is going to start up again next week. It’ll be nice to do something after school. So far, we’ve been in-person Thursdays and Fridays. Now, we’ll be going in person on Monday next week as well. The following week, the freshman and sophomores will go in on Monday and, following winter break, we’ll be switching back and forth on the Mondays.

We did have a positive Covid case two weeks before break in my grade, so I’ve been virtual for a while. I’ve rarely left my house, but break’s really given me the opportunity to get out and do things for me rather than just doing work. I’ve submitted a bunch of college applications, done a puzzle, made cranberry sauce, played board games, and attempted to make a blanket. I’m writing a lot, too. I’m 30000 words into my first novel draft. Pretty exciting. It’s the farthest I’ve gotten!

Other than that, nothing much has been happening. Weather’s starting to get cold and, if you know me, you know how much I hate the cold weather. We do Kris Kringle with my cousins on both sides of my family and I am proud to say I’ve called 4/6 of the picks. My intuition is pretty good.

So yeah. My life’s been circling around school and college, though that stress should be dying down soon. I’m finishing up on the last of my applications. I’ve been listening to a lot of music right now. I’m doing well in school and just keeping my chin up. I’m excited to see where the universe takes me next.
